However, a listing has just been found on Amazon, allowing you to put some cash down on a Collector's Edition.Read the full article on pushsquare.com

TGS: The Scope of Death Stranding Is Huge, Says Troy Baker

Actor has wrapped up his work on the "weird" game.Veteran voice actor and Death Stranding star Troy Baker has been speaking at the Argentina Game Show about his role in Hideo Kojima’s latest release. The irritatingly good looking performer – who plays the mysterious Man in the Golden Mask – seemed genuinely bedazzled by the project, as he described it as “weird and big”.“Norman and I shot for about two weeks on it, and he’s super rad,” he beamed. “He’s really throwing his all into this game; he’s got an amazing work ethic. We’ve got some interesting scenes together that…

TGS: Claire Redfield's Military Costume Doesn't Look Particularly Practical

It's 'armless. As revealed earlier in the month, Claire Redfield can change into a military themed outfit in Resident Evil 2 – assuming that you order the Deluxe Edition of the game, or one of its many other premium permutations. And here’s our first look at the legendary heroine sporting her army attire. We must say, this doesn’t look particularly practical, with her arms being exposed and all. Then again, when has this series ever had appropriate clothing? Jill Valentine used to prance about in a tube top, while Ada Wong’s redesign sees her ditch her iconic red dress for shades and the…

TGS: Metal Gear Solid's Stefanie Joosten Seemingly Set for Death Stranding

Quiet.Hideo Kojima is having a blast casting all of his mates for Death Stranding, so it’s perhaps no surprise to see Stefanie Joosten pop up in the latest trailer. We’ve got to be honest, this completely passed us by, but online sleuths appear to have uncovered the truth. You may recall protagonist Sam carrying a mysterious woman on his back in Troy Baker's introductory video – apparently it’s the Quiet actress. While the lady’s mostly obscured by a hood, the face profile matches up perfectly with the Metal Gear Solid star. The model also has a Dutch flag beneath her chin, which could…

TGS: PS4 Pro Price Drop Confirmed for Japan

But no comment on the West.Sony is dropping the price of the PlayStation 4 Pro in Japan starting 12th October, with the supercharged system’s MSRP dipping from ¥‎44,980 (~$395) to ¥39,980 (~$350). The console is nearing its second birthday so it makes sense for the manufacturer to lower the price, although it’s said that it has no comment on the West just yet. To be fair, the PS4 Pro has been in pretty short supply in regions like the United States, so we doubt it’ll be making any adjustments until it can get a regular stream of units onto store shelves. The price drop means that the…

TGS: Hands On: Sekiro's Going to Be as Hard as You Fear - Or Hope

Samurai souls.Playable for the first time, FromSoftware’s ninja-action death frenzy Sekiro was the 2018 Tokyo Game Show’s hottest ticket. Sekiro sets out its threat in the subtitle: Shadows Die Twice. On the subject of death, we were reminded of a story by Pulitzer-winner Annie Proulx, in which she sees a goat after a family visit, representing the inevitability of mortality. Sekiro does a similar thing, but instead of driving past a goat, you are disembowelled a thousand times by men with swords. We suppose there are two ways to make the same point.Read the full article on pushsquare.com

TGS: TGS 2018: Death Stranding Continues to Confound with the Man in the Golden Mask

Tactical Eldritch Action.Oh, this is good – this is very good. Kojima Productions simply can’t resist showing off Death Stranding, and as part of its TGS 2018 stage show, it’s put up an 80 second clip introducing Troy Baker’s character, who’s aptly known as “the man in the golden mask”. The newcomer – who’ll be voiced by Satoshi Mikami in Japan – seems like a potentially ominous foe (or is he?), as he uses his face gear to summon an Eldritch enemy that would impress even H.P. Lovecraft himself. We really do like this scene: Baker's in vintage anime mode, cranking up the melodrama…

TGS: Dante’s return in Devil May Cry 5 is the real deal – hands-on

Dante has always been a charmer, but there’s something especially cool about how the seasoned hero appears in Devil May Cry 5. “Don’t send a boy to do a man’s job,” he quips to DMC newcomer V at one point – and there’s something knowingly earned about that swagger. It almost feels self-aware, like he […] The post Dante’s return in Devil May Cry 5 is the real deal – hands-on appeared first on VG247.

TGS: TGS 2018: Sony's 'PlayStation Network Presentation' Turned Out to Be Nothing

But you can watch it anyway.Earlier in the week, we reported on an interesting Tokyo Game Show 2018 schedule listing. Sony had planned an hour-long "PlayStation Network" presentation at the event, sparking speculation that it may be showing off new network functionality or something else worthy of note. Further fuel was added to the fire due to firmware 6.0, which launched last week and supposedly added no new features to the PlayStation 4.However, as it turns out, the presentation wasn't worth getting excited over -- it was basically just an hour-long showing of what's available on the PlayStation…

Tears in the rain.Well this is bloomin’ melancholy, isn’t it?
